Donate to Save St. John Point

The acquisition of St. John Point is now assured! We are still in need of about $200,000 for legal fees, closing costs and other expenses. Here’s how you can help:

1. Cheque

Please make cheques payable to Mayne Island Conservancy Society. Write “for SJP” on the note/memo line.

Mail your cheque to Box 31, Mayne Island BC, V0N 2J0, or drop it off at our office at 478 Village Bay Rd.

2. E-transfer

Please follow your bank’s instructions for e-transfers. If you make up your own security question, please email the answer to us in a separate email. Or, to keep things simple, use, “What is the purpose of the Fund?” “SJP”

Address the e-transfer to acctg@conservancyonmayne.com. Important: please identify yourself in the message of your e-transfer, or in a separate email. E-transfers come in anonymously otherwise, and we need to get you your receipt. Thanks.

3. Credit card

Please be advised that if you pay by credit card the Mayne Island Conservancy will have to absorb the transaction fee, and the net value of your donation will be reduced by that amount.

4. Securities

If this is your choice of payment, please advise by email to helenobrian47@gmail.com.

Instructions for Transferring Securities

Download the Share Transfer Form, either in PDF format or Microsoft Word format, complete the Donor information, date, sign and send it to your Financial Advisor. This will authorize him/her to transfer securities held in your name to Raymond James Ltd. where proceeds of the sale will be directed  to the Mayne Island Conservancy “Save St. John Point” Campaign.

If you are having trouble printing the Share Transfer Form please call the Conservancy at 250-539-5168

US Taxpayers

If you would like your donation to be tax deductible in the U.S. please go to American Friends of Canadian Land Trusts’ website to contribute online or obtain the mailing address.  Donations of securities are welcome. Please  contact Sandra Tassel, info@afoclt.org or 360-515-7171 for the information your broker will need.
